You need to work with the ideas that will be most suited for your budget. Therefore, you will consider the kind of cake you buy, whether you will have live music or not, what you are wiling to spend for decorations and how much your personal gift to the birthday boy or girl will cost you.
The other thing that will make 50th birthday party a success is to choose a particular theme. 50th birthday party ideas for themes are very many and the best thing is that you can come up with your very own unique theme that is going to be fun. The theme can be contemporary or it can be more traditional but, one thing to keep in mind is that there is a person who should be the focus of the occasion and if you can find a theme that will be personalized for them, the more they will appreciate. To personalize a theme is quite simple because you have to consider what the birthday boy or girl likes or what their dreams are for the future. For example if a birthday boy or girl enjoys fishing, you can make fihing the personalized theme.
Themes will be reflected by the decoration of the venue. The colors also need to come out cearly. Also, when you have your 50th birthday party ideas, know who to invite to the party. How to Put on a Kids Birthday Party in the San Francisco Bay Area
CaliforniaPuppets.com is the leading resource in children’s birthday party entertainment and kids birthday party tips for the entire San Francisco, Oakland and San Jose areas.
Let me start by saying that Just by getting this far, you are away ahead of the game. Follow these simple tips below and book Jungle Joe to entertain your guests and your party will be a great hit.
1. Bay Area Birthday Party Locations
There is usually no better place to hold a children’s birthday party than your own home. Children are usually better behaved in the home environment and much easier to control. It is always wise to make sure any valuable items are stored away in case of accidents. Outdoor parties can be a lot of fun. whether it’s held in one of the bay area’s beautiful parks or simply in your own backyard, you must ALWAYS have a contingency plan in case of bad weather. Outdoor kids parties in the San Francisco Bay Area are usually OK from May through October.
If you feel your house is too small to accommodate the number of children you are planning to invite, then booking a local hall is a sensible option. Choose carefully and try to find one that has a carpeted floor. I did a San Jose kids birthday party once in a Large, echoey hall with polished floors. These halls amplify even the tiniest of noises which makes it difficult to make yourself heard and keep the children under control.
When holding your party in a hall, be sure to make a thorough checklist of everything you will need to take with you for the party (Don’t forget your music, prizes, matches or a lighter to light the birthday cake candles with!). Shows at a local restaurant can also be a great option for certain families in the Bay area.
2. Balloon Clues
Finding the party venue can be a real headache – especially in the dark! A bunch of balloons (not just one – it will pop!) tied to your mailbox will prove of help to your guests and the entertainer. I did a children’s birthday party in the Oakland hills once. Almost half the guests showed up really late because the roads were windy and the house number was hard to see. Balloons could of easily fixed that problem.
3. Birthday Party Badges
It is a good idea to provide each child with a sticky label badge bearing his or her name. People tend to respond better when they are addressed by name. I once did a performance for a 6 year old boy’s birthday party in Milpitas where the kids didn’t know each other. The kids were shy and quiet. I suggested the badges to the hostess, she was amazed to how much that changed the kids response to the whole party experience.
4. Kids Birthday Presents
Have a box or bag ready to put all the presents in as the children arrive so they can be kept safe to open later. If the birthday child is opening presents during the party, try to make sure they are removed to a safe place afterwards. Over the years I have seen many new toys trampled underfoot in the excitement!
5. Keep them busy
Please do not attempt to settle the children down as they arrive by allowing them to run wild in a room filled with balloons, streamers, toys, etc. Funnily enough, this usually only happens in halls! More parties are ruined (and more guests are injured) by this than by anything else. Many children find the noise of balloons bursting frightening. I once did a kids party in Walnut Creek where a 4 year old ended up having to be taken home because of the balloon popping noise before the party has even begun. Use balloons as decoration only and save the squeakers for the goodie bags! Play a simple quiet game instead.
6. Birthday Party Foods!
Pizza is a favorite for most kids. Simpler is sometimes better, cheese or pepperoni. Some kids are picky eaters and will pick off the pizza. Simple foods for the kids and variety for the parents. Food can be served either before or after the show. But never during the show, my shows are interactive and food can be a huge distraction during the performance. A word of caution about SUGAR. It can ruin a great party any day. Cotton candy should be forbidden all together, candy and sodas are common problem foods that have forced kids to just run around in circles. Unlike adults, for most kids if they consume sugar, they have to burn it right away. It is unfair to allow kids to have a bowl of ice cream and then expect them to sit still for any period of time. They simply can’t do it, their bodies won’t let them.
7. Showtime!
I usually require about 10 minutes to set up a birthday party show. I am quite happy to do this in front of the children, so long as they remain in front of my tables and don’t wander behind to take a peek! Either play a simple game while I get ready or sit them down in front of the show and let them chat with me as I set up for the performance.
The show is designed to be enjoyed by the whole family. adults and older children don’t need to leave the room or sit at the far end of the room. Enjoy the show with your children and I promise that you will have a wonderful time.
TODDLERS, should be kept in the care of their parents and for safety reasons should not be allowed to wander around the room during show time.
NOTHING WHATSOEVER should be distributed to the children during the show unless arrangements have been made with me beforehand. Please don’t pass around sweets, juice or any hand out as it can be a huge distraction!
If you are doing a themed birthday party, please let me know during booking and again before the show. My shows are well suited for any themed birthday parties Weather it’s a pirate theme, Jungle theme, superhero theme or whatever theme you are working with.
8. Involve the kids
involve the children in party planning and preparation. Surprises are fun, but the kids like to get involved in planning, and this is a time when the kids are motivated to be especially helpful.
Let them plan the theme, location, guest list, menu, games, etc. They can write invitations or create them on the computer with fun computer paper, fill loot bags, blow up balloons, decorate, even help “childproof,” “crowdproof” or straighten the house.
9. How long should a children’s birthday party be?
One to two hours is more than enough time for a toddler or pre-school party. For older children two to three hours is recommended.
For drop off parties, parents usually start arriving about 15 minutes before the end of the party. Have the party bags ready and named so they can be handed to each child as they leave.
10. Forget all the rest
It’s their Special Day — Whether with a party or not, the object of the day is to make your child feel special. Alternative birthday celebrations include special rituals, such as birthday plates, breakfasts, dinners or birthday cake with grandma, measuring to see how much they’ve grown, reminiscing about “the day you were born” or previous parties over photo albums or by watching videos of younger years.
All my shows are interactive; the children will become involved in the show, where they can hoot and holler. And the Birthday Child is always the center of attraction. Even if it’s a special first birthday, and most of the benefits will be for the family and friends in the audience. The child will still have focus moments in the show, even if it’s only for the tape to remember for later years.

Free First Birthday Invitations for 1st Baby Birthday Party Celebrations
First Birthday Party Celebrations for One Year Old Baby
The first birthday party is a milestone for both the mother and the child and is also an event for the whole family to enjoy. Remember that your baby doesn’t really have any expectations whatsoever about his first birthday party. This birthday party is for you and your family and friends who are coming to “ooh” and “aah” over your wonderful one-year-old! A human life is so fragile, and none more fragile than the life of a new baby.
Your baby’s first birthday party will be, without a doubt, more special to you than to your baby. Except for the cake and extra attention, your one year old baby will likely view the entire birthday celebration as an unwelcome interruption of his playtime. So, with this in mind, the key to creating an enjoyable birthday ceremony is to make it memorable – for you! Remember, your baby doesn’t really have any expectations whatsoever.
The first rule of thumb is to keep it SIMPLE, beginning with the food and decorations. You will want to allow yourself plenty of time to watch your told enjoying his FIRST Birthday ever, so organize the 1st birthday party so that you are not running around the kitchen washing dishes or other similar tasks. Whenever possible, have the birthday party in your home where the baby is most comfortable.
There will probably be a good number of adults and a mix of children of all ages at your child’s 1st birthday party. This is usually an occasion for all the family but the baby first birthday party celebrations shouldn’t be too over the top. A lot of people and a lot of noise could overwhelm your baby and lead to tears. So when it comes to the first birthday party celebration it is probably best not to go too overboard.
The 1st birthday party theme is frequently used to structure the first birthday party. Although baby birthday themes can help you plan food, decorations and first birthday invitations, you should be mindful of the activities and games. Most babies at one year old usually don’t have the skills or attention span to participate in the birthday party fun. Additionally, you will have your hands full entertaining your one year old’s guests while trying to monitor your mischievous birthday baby!
If you have decided to use a character theme for your baby 1st birthday party then that at least gives you an idea for first birthday party invitation cards. You may also decide to have a birthday cake in the form of the character instead of one of the more usual baby first birthday party cakes.
Don’t overdo the food at the first birthday party; some sandwiches, crackers and cheese and hot foods, along with the birthday cake with a big ONE on it should be quite sufficient. This type of food is easy to prepare and easy for small children to pick up and eat. You should send out personalized first birthday invitations to the 1st birthday party about three weeks before the birthday party. Some people send photo first birthday invitations with a picture of their baby first birthday party guests seem to like these as a memento of the event.
Use paper plates and serviettes for a first birthday party. If you have chosen to theme the birthday party around your baby favorite character then follow this through with the tableware. Disposable ware is much better at a 1st birthday party as they are safer if there are a lot of small children around. Keep a close eye on your baby first birthday party celebrations can sometimes get too much for some. Don’t spend a lot of money on first birthday party presents, your child will probably be more interested in the box the birthday present comes in than the gift itself.
Don’t overtire yourself planning and hosting a first birthday party. The first year of your baby’s life is tiring for you so try to keep things low key. You want everyone to enjoy your baby 1st birthday party but don’t get stressed out. Remember that people have come to celebrate with you and your baby first birthday party celebrations are a happy time for all.
A first birthday party is an important event for you, your baby, and the rest of the family but don’t feel that you have to give the best 1st birthday party ever – it just has to be the best for you and your baby. Do your best to enjoy the day with your baby first birthday party memories should be fun.

Dog Accessories For The Party Animal
Canine parties are now a fact of life for many dog and their owners. If you are invited to a party for a pooch which dog accessories will you need? Maybe you are the one planning the event, you will still need accessories.
If will depend on the event of course. If you are going to be a guest at a summer shindig you may want matching beachwear for you and your little furry friend or at least hats and beach towels.
A dog attending any social function should have an appropriate collar and leash. If the event is formal such as a wedding or cocktail party you may prefer something with rhinestones. A tiara might be a nice touch and don’t hold back on the gown or tails (and I don’t mean the canine variety). There are outfits made from satin, lace and other lovely fabrics. These pieces of clothing may also have matching jackets, cloaks or capes.
Holidays are the perfect time for a soiree. Besides fabulous costumes for Halloween and party clothing for Christmas you will find dog accessories made to compliment and adorn. There are charming hats, boots and sweaters. Your dog will look like a million bucks.
Now that you have an idea of what Bowser will be wearing maybe you should concentrate on gift ideas. There are all kinds of dog accessories that will be perfect for any party or occasion.
Shop online and you will find an amazing array of accessories and gifts for any dog. Personalized presents are always nice and you may have a choice of doggy dishes, beds, pillows, chairs, Christmas ornaments and more. Online shopping allows you to see so many dog accessories and they can be conveniently purchased and delivered right to your door.
Toys are hot dog accessories and the choices are almost endless. Choose from balls, plush toys, snacks launchers and toys that can be chased. You will want to make sure all the toys are safe for dogs and won’t cause any problems. There are toys that can be stuffed with snacks and you could also include a nice assortment of treats. Any toy that can be chewed safely makes a good gift, also. Pull toys are always popular and can be enjoyed by the owner as well.
Other dog accessories could include grooming items. There are wonderful combs and brushes, and shampoos and conditioners that are gentle and safe to use.
Maybe the guest of honor loves to walk and gets to take part in this activity on a daily basis. A new collar and leash combo would make a terrific gift. You could include one of those little bones filled with plastic bags for doggy doo pick up while you’re at it.
Whether you are the invited or the invitee for the next canine celebration you will be prepared when you explore all the dog accessories available.
A Buyer’s Guide to the Most Important Cell Phone Accessories
No matter how you use your cell phone, there are some accessories that you just have to own. Your cell phone accessories may be purchased for convenience, or could actually help save your life someday. Here’s a quick buyer’s guide to the most important cell phone accessories you will ever own.
Buying a Cell Phone Charger
If you misplace the cell phone charger that came with your device, or need another unit for the car or office, you can purchase it directly from the manufacturer, or spend less money and get a comparable, compatible unit from a third party seller. These compatible cell phone chargers generally work great and cost less only because they don’t carry the brand name of the cell phone manufacturer.
Whether you need a Blackberry Travel Wall Charger or a Motorola RAZR Charger for the car, always make sure the device is compatible with the make, model and wattage of your phone. If it isn’t, you could damage the power supply of the phone permanently.
Buying an Extra Cell Phone Battery
It’s great to have a fully charged extra phone battery at your side when you’re away from a power source. Look for refurbished cell phone batteries from third party vendors and you can get an amazing deal on your spare battery. Remember, ONLY purchase those batteries which are made specifically for your phone.
Buying a Wireless Cell Phone Headset
As we begin 2009, most states have either enacted, or are preparing, laws regarding hands-free calling while driving. In addition to help save lives, these laws mean that you can’t be without a headset for your cell phone when you’re talking in the car.
Currently, Bluetooth technology sits atop of the headset heap. Bluetooth allows individuals to make and receive calls without touching their handset. The quality of Bluetooth calls is much higher than previous technologies, and many report crystal-clear reception when their handset is close by.
Individuals who are considering buying a Bluetooth Headset should consider a few factors before making their final purchase, including:
· Size. Bluetooth headsets come in all shapes and sizes. Some people prefer the smaller units that they barely know are there, while other prefer something larger with buttons that are easier to find and push.
· Compatibility. Obviously, you need to check your phone to make sure that it is Bluetooth compatible. Most phones introduced over the past few years have Bluetooth functionality built in. Anything older than that you might want to check the manual just to be safe.
· Brand. Not all brands are created equal. Currently some of the finest Bluetooth headsets are coming from companies like Jawbone (the Jawbone II headset) and Plantronics (the Plantronics Discovery 925 and D925). Read up on customer reviews and product rankings to find the best products for your money.

Party Favor Ideas for a Princess Party
If you are throwing a Princess Birthday party for your little princess, you know one of the most important elements is the party favors. But when you have a party of 20 children, you also know purchasing the party favors can be an expensive and exhausting endeavor. Here are some party favor ideas that are inexpensive and fun!
1. Small ribbon tutus, princess wands, beaded tiaras or halos are really great party favors. Not only do the little princesses get to take these home; they can wear them at the party to add to the ambiance of the event. These items are relatively inexpensive and can usually be purchased at a discount when you buy in bulk. The great thing about these favors is that they will not be used just once. Girls will want to play dress-up with them over and over again and will remember your party each time.
2. Sweet confections such as pink rock candy, jewel lollipop rings, sweet tart candy necklaces, and tiara shaped lollipops all complement the theme well and are sure to delight the party guests!
3. Child size jewelry such as long beaded necklaces, plastic jeweled necklaces, princess or girl theme charm necklaces and bracelets or large plastic jeweled rings in the shape of gems, diamonds, flowers and hearts are great favors. The larger and more sparkly the better! The preferred colors for these jewelry items are, of course, pink, purple or red.
4. Hair accessories like butterfly hair clips, sparkle jeweled barrettes, tiara hair combs, shimmer ribbon hair scrunchies and headbands with beaded tiaras or jewels on top work very well too. Give these items in any combination with the princess party favors mentioned above for a birthday party that will be remembered long after it is over.
5. Instead of just handing any of these items out to the girls why not put them in princess theme party favor bags with tiaras, sparkles or stars on them? Another unique idea is to find interesting child size purses to fill with the party favors. You can find great purses with sequins or metallic fabrics that complement the magic and girly atmosphere of the event. Velour or organza party favor bags are great as well. You may even be able to find these bags in the shape of “glass slippers” to further extend the theme.
Now you have lots of great ideas to get you started on your princess party favor planning. Be creative and have fun!
